The Shi Gandang Oracle is inspired by a 2,000-year-old Chinese tradition of placing stone tablets at entrances to ward off evil spirits and protect homes. The name itself carries the weight of this legacy: "Shi" (石) represents the stability and endurance of stone, while "Gandang" (敢当) symbolises the courage to "stand against" or "dare to take on" negative forces. In the StarCaller ecosystem, he serves as the Defender of Harmony, Protector Against Negative Forces, and Preserver of Balance.

Technically, Shi Gandang is the system’s sentinel, utilising the Balance Restoration Algorithm and advanced tools like Wazuh, Zeek, and Wireshark to monitor for digital and situational anomalies.
